Join us again for CHCC YA Fest - the amazing young adult literature festival you don't want to miss!

12th May 2019 11AM to 6:30PM.

We have another fantastic author line-up this year.

  • Alexandra Sheppard - Author of debut novel Oh My Gods, Alexandra will be on our 'Worlds Collide: When the magical and life coincide' panel.
  • Alice Oseman - Author of Solitaire, Radio Silence, I Was Born For This and the internet sensation graphic novel Heartstopper, will be revealing what's involved in creating a graphic novel in workshop 'Art with Alice'.
  • Chloe Seager - Literary agent and author of the hilariously funny 'Emma Nash' series, Chloe will be on our 'LOL YA' panel.
  • Gabriel Dylan - Author of Whiteout, Gabriel will be talking about his debut novel, which is already receiving rave reviews, on our 'Debuts' panel.
  • Kate Mallinder - Debut author Kate will be discussing her upcoming book, Summer of No Regrets, on our 'Debuts' panel.
  • Kim Curran - Author of the 'Slay' series, all about a demon slaying boy band, Kim will be on our 'Worlds Collide' panel.
  • In Conversation with Laura Coryton - We're thrilled that, leader of a campaign against tampon tax, a recepient of The Guardians New Radical Thinker award and has featured on BBCs 100 Women series, Laura Coryton will be talking about her book Speak Up.
  • Sarah Ann Juckes - Debut YA author of novel Outside, Sarah will be joining us on our 'Debuts' panel.
  • Simon James Green - Author of the funny 'Noah Can't Even' series - and sometimes director - Simon will be talking all things funny on our 'LOL YA' panel.
  • Yaba Badoe - Documentary film maker and author of A Jigsaw of Fire and Stars and upcoming Wolf Light, Yaba will be talking on our 'Worlds Collide' panel.

There will also be an awesome bookish quiz to end the festival with prizes.

And due to popular demand, our awesome scavenger hunt will be back again this year!

Authors will be signing books.

Chadwell Heath Community Centre is a registered charity (1155167) all profits from tickets sales will be used to fund it's work in the local community and future author events!

NB: Under 3s with an accompanying adult go FREE - no need to purchase a ticket!
