This is a refresher workshop for STs and consultants who are current OSCE examiners and have already completed the 'How to be an OSCE examiner' workshop. In the workshop we will explore the process and methods for examining undergraduate medical students. We now also have online refreshers for current examiners, for more details see the PRIME Website.
Please note: Foundation Drs are ineligible to apply for these workshops as they are not used as OSCE examiners in Manchester. An alternative workshop is provided titled: 'OSCEs: the art and the science - for FY1 and FY2 Drs').
By the end of the workshop you should be able to:
- Understand the place of Skills assessments in the Manchester Curriculum
- Understand the process of an OSCE
- Describe what is expected of an OSCE examiner
- Take on the role of an OSCE examiner
This workshop is part of a serries of PRIME staff development workshops run by Manchester Medical School. For further details and related workshops please see the PRIME website, and click here for directions to our workshop locations.
