We are delighted to invite you to take part in a practical workshop, delivered by the School of Artisan Food in partnership with the Food and Drink Manufacturers Skills Programme.

Cheese and Dairy Workshop

Discover the art and science of artisan cheese making and turn your hand to making your very own cheese with this hand-on session. During the session you will;

  • Receive an insight into the art and science of artisan cheese making

  • You will learn about different milk types and their seasonality

  • Learn the difference between lactic and rennet set cheese and the role of cultures, their action, their flavouring and how they work with rennet

  • Learn how to make a soft cheese

  • Learn how to make butter

The conference is fully funded by the ESF D2N2 Skills for Growth Project

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this funded course, you must meet the small business eligiblity criteria, set out in the booking form.

  • You must employ less than 250 employees

  • Be a manufacturer of food or drink products

  • Have a manufacturing base in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire
