CONDÉ NAST TRAVELLER PRESENTS: CHEFS' WORLD SERIES
A SPECIAL BREAKFAST IN LONDON WITH YOTAM OTTOLENGHI
Come and dine with acclaimed chef Yotam Ottolenghi at our second Chefs' World Series event. Each of these extraordinary occasions involves a top foodie name creating a not-to-be missed feast with a global twist in London. At this pop-up breakfast guests will get to enjoy the best of Ottolenghi's Middle-Eastern-meets-Mediterranean flavours at his eponymous deli in Spitalfields, followed by a chance for them to grill the man himself during an exclusive Q&A session.
About Yotam Ottolenghi: For the Jerusalem native who near singlehandedly made vegetable dishes sexy, the path to becoming an international super-chef has been anything but straightforward. Before even stepping into the kitchen, Ottolenghi had completed a masters in philosophy and literature and worked on the news desk of an Israeli daily. It was only when he came to England at 29 and trained at Le Cordon Bleu that he began his restaurant career, starting out as assistant pastry chef at The Capital. Star turns at Kensington Place, Maison Blanc, and Baker and Spice followed. He now runs four successful Ottolenghi deli-cafés in London, with branches in Notting Hill, Islington, Belgravia and Spitalfields, as well as Soho's NOPI restaurant, and is the author of several best-selling cookbooks, including Plenty and Plenty More. 'My cooking style is comfort food with bursts of flavour,' he says. 'I like food that is familiar but also has a bit of drama in the mouth. I want to reassure and surprise.'
