About the Krymov Residency @ SCRUM Studios
Hailed by the Guardian as “among the greatest directors in the world”, Dmitry Krymov now lives in political exile from Russia following the invasion of Ukraine. Facing wide-spread censorship in his home country, Krymov now returns to create new work in the UK for the first time since his rave-reviewed productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Opus 7 wowed audiences at the RSC, Barbican, and Edinburgh International Festival over a decade ago. SCRUM Theatre is honoured to host this visionary director for a month-long Residency at our Studios in Hammersmith.
Note on Participants:
The 6 actors and 4 directors participating in the masterclass have been selected via an open application process (deadline 27 August).

Pay what you can or pay it forward
Offering affordable training is at the heart of SCRUM's charitable objectives. Though classes with our practitioners cost a significant amount for practitioners and staffing costs, we offer places at a pay-what-you-can rate. For some, this might mean paying 1p. For others, paying more means you’re covering our facilitators fee and staffing costs, making it possible for us to host future PWYC workshops seasons. We give a suggested figure of £35 as a 'pay it forward ' donation.
Attendees must be 18+
