Event description
This is an online event for secondary teachers organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry as part of our Curriculum for Wales support

About this event

Do you need inspiration to link chemistry to local industries? Our Chemistry at work for teachers event aims to connect you with several STEM ambassadors who will talk about their industry and how it links to the new Curriculum for Wales. This event will be an excellent way to learn more about career implementation in your teaching.

This is a fully funded event aimed at secondary science teachers, technicians and subject leads. Please share it with anyone who would find it useful.

Outcomes

By the end of the session, you will:

  • have a number of local, relevant contacts who will be happy to talk to your students about their chemistry careers in Wales
  • have learnt about careers across Wales
  • have examples of chemistry used across Wales

Session information

We will meet numerous chemists across Wales with support from the STEM Ambassador program and our RSC members.

  • This session will consist of talks and networking
  • We strongly encourage that you use a laptop/tablet to get the most out of this session

This session is developed in line with our professional development standards.

For more information on this and any other RSC education event, please visit edu.rsc.org/events, where you will find links to both primary and secondary education sessions.
