Event description
Introduction to the COVID Historic Environment Resilience Forum (CHERF), and how to plan for venue reopening.

About this event

CHERF is a collaborative project drawing on intelligence from attendees on the medium to long term issues arising from COVID-19 for Scotland's heritage. A framework has been scoped and is available on BEFS website here.

As lockdown lifts many venues are planning how they will manage re-opening, and part of this session will be hearing from asset holders with advanced planning and advice on where to get further guidance. Dr David Mitchell, Director of Conservation at Historic Environment Scotland and Bryan Robertson, Chief Operating Officer at National Galleries Scotland will share their plans for reopening. Emma Halford-Forbes, Coordinator for Industrial Museums Scotland, will highlight the challenges and plans for reopening in the independent museum sector.

This event will be hosted on Zoom. The online discussion, including comments in the chat feature, will be recorded for minute taking purposes only.
