About this event

Hear from Cheshire YJS on their approach to their point of arrest 'Divert' model. Diversion is a key tenet of the Child First principle. Academic research tells us that diversion from the youth justice system and finding community alternatives is more effective than early formal interventions.

Cheshire have a well developed 'divert' model and in this webinar will speak about how they approached the set up of the model both strategically and operationally, how it is delivered and how it has been effective and there will be an opportunity for questions within the webinar.

This session will be repeated on 10.03.21 at 11am.

If you would be interested in getting further support in relation to the model, please contact jennifer.frankish@yjb.gov.uk.
