Chess Club Group 3 - 10 sessions Ticket - Term 2

1 - Working on the following skills:

• Self regulation of one’s emotions & Staying Positive;
• Perfectionism management & Aiming High;
• Understanding social cues & Working online;
• And, improving one’s level in chess, of course.

2 - Club description:

This Group 3 - Competent series is for players who have aquired a good understanding of chess tactics and master the basis of chess.

They should have started to think moves ahead and predict potential moves from their opponent, leading them to preempting the protection of their own pieces in advance, as well as taking advantage of their opponent’s mistakes.

As they have already mastered the very basics of chess, they will be learning more tactics and training on forward thinking.

The sessions will comprise of a lesson part, solving chess puzzles and tournaments against one another.

We will also be working on the kids' ability to manage their emotions under stress; review their own errors and learning from them; and improve their social interactions with others online.

We will be discussing with you the young players' progress both in chess and skills development.

3 - Age range:

6 to 13 y.o. but the knowledge and interest in playing chess and the ability to work online are more important than age in this course

4 - Ticket Price

This is a continuous course that starts in September and runs through the academic year based on five times per half term where fees will be charged per term for 10 sessions at a rate of £ 190.00 per term.

IMPORTANT NOTE

In order to best work with the individuals we limit spaces to minimum 4 and maximum 8 particpants per course.

Please book promptly to avoid being disappointed either as there are no more spaces remaining or due to the course being postponed by a term.

5 - Workshop Dates

The Group 3 Chess Club will take place weekly on Thursdays, from 18:00 to 19:00.

This registration covers the sessions from:

and from:

• Thursday 26th February to Thursday 26th March 2026 included.
