The 15 Steps for Neonatal is part of the national NHS framework designed to look at healthcare environments through the eyes of service users. It asks: “What is it like for a family walking onto the unit for the first time?”
As MNVP Lead, I will be facilitating this review in partnership with parents and staff. Together, we will explore the neonatal environment, looking at aspects such as:
- Welcoming and supportive atmosphere
- Communication and information for families
- Safety and quality of care
- Family-centred practice
This is a valuable opportunity for parents and carers with lived neonatal experience to share feedback directly with staff, helping to shape and improve services for families now and in the future.
