Event Details

Speaker: Dr. Alexis Kirke, University of Plymouth (UK)

18:30 (coffee), talk begins 19:00

Synopsis: Quantum Computing (QC) is a research area of great interest to academics and commercial organisations. However, it’s non-intuitive nature and mathematical complexities can make it inaccessible to non-experts. Alexis Kirke’s interdisciplinary training in maths, AI and music have enabled him to bring these areas together and to begin to utilize QC in its various forms to make music.

This talk will give a basic introduction to QC and Alexis’ investigations into its use to create music.
