Chicks with Bricks: A Celebration of Women in the Built Environment
Event Information
Description
Chicks with Bricks is a proactive network that connects young women in the construction industry to their female peers and role models.
Since 2005, we have been committed to running events bringing members together to network and communicate - Architects, Developers, Planners, Lawyers, Portfolio Advisors, Tradeswomen, Engineers, Bankers, Academics, Policymakers, Designers, Manufacturers, Contractors, Surveyors, Project Managers and Media. Events bring 200-400 women together for drinks and debate led by well-known industry figures at exclusive venues.
Our next event is scheduled for 6 October at the Nash and Brandon rooms at the ICA Gallery, from 6.30-9.00pm. We will host 120-150 women of all ages from the construction industry and our guest speakers have been asked to talk about their experiences with an opportunity to open the floor up for questions and debate.
Speakers include:
Annie Hampson, Chief Planning Officer for The City of London
Claire Bennie, Development Director at the Peabody estate
Lucy Heller, Chief Executive of ARK
A YoungAmbassador from the Prince’s Trust ‘Get Into Construction’ Programme
