In this session, the development of attachment over the life span will be discussed, including the differences between secure, insecure and disorganized / unresolved attachment in children and adults. The global distributions of attachment are reviewed based on thousands of children and adults are reviewed, with attention to contextual factors such as demographic risk and, in the case of adults, war-related PTSS.
