About this Event

This is an open course for anybody that is looking for an introductory level understanding with children and young people.

Delivered by Claire Harrison-Breed, Psychotherapist, and founder of Broad Horizons Psychotherapeutic Services. Alongside therapeutic practice Claire is a Senior Lecturer in Counselling for the University of Northampton and secretary for the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation and publishes in the field of trauma and dissociation.

Claire has almost 30 years’ experience working therapeutically in a range of settings and is renowned for such as a registered Gestalt Psychotherapist, Counsellor, CBT therapist, Play Therapist and Social Worker.

Broad Horizons is Psychotherapy Centre specialising in trauma and therapeutic services for children and families.

Human development spans across the life course, yet the older children get the less information there appears to be on children and young people’s development.

The course embraces the uniqueness of children and young people as well as exploring potential developmental milestones or phases from a range of perspectives. This one- day course will explore the physical, social, educational and emotional work of children and young people using a variety of dynamic and fun learning tools.
