Description

Our Focus

In March 2018 DFiD held a Safeguarding Summit to improve Safeguarding across the international development Sector, NGOs, DFID, the Charity Commission and safeguarding experts pledged to improve safeguarding standards across the sector. A standard identified from the summit is demonstrating accountability to beneficiaries and survivors.

ChildHope’s strategic framework outlines our commitment to ensure ‘every child has the right to a safe and secure childhood’. Our new series of seminars picks up on this theme by providing space for organisations to share best practice, discuss challenges and explore innovative approaches for demonstrating accountability when protecting children and young people.

Seminar Structure

12.00 - 14:00 Seminar presentation: Expert practitioners and academics will provide an overview of theories, methodologies and best practice.

Facilitated Discussion: Participants will have the opportunity to explore the issues in more depth, to raise questions and to discuss how the learning can be applied to practice
