Event description

Description

This one day event will focus on how and why child sexual abuse occurs in schools, residential units, youth groups and other settings where adults have responsibility for the safeguarding of children. It will show you how to undertake an audit of your organisation or agency with respect to potential safeguarding risks and will provide you with opportunities to explore practical steps to promote children’s safety that do not impair their developmental needs. The key goal of the day is to ensure that you and your organisation have up to date and research informed information and resources that make a practical difference in improving safeguarding.

The event will be suitable for practitioners and those in leadership and safeguarding roles in organisations, including schools and nurseries, faith and belief communities, residential units and group living environments, colleges, youth clubs, youth sports settings.

Coffee will be available from 9.30am.

If you wish to be invoiced for the ticket then please contact our administrator, Tommaso Covella via email at tcovella@lucyfaithfull.org.uk, or call on 01372 847 160
