This is a course for managers, supervisors or people that work autonomously.

• Reflect upon learning from the latest guidance and safeguarding children practice reviews.
• Understand the Role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead

• Background to Safeguarding Children & Legislation
• Information Sharing & Communication
• Roles & Responsibilities
• Parenting capacity, importance of family history, daily functioning and challenging of professional resistance
• Referral processes, procedures, pathways & systems with emphasis on working together / our multi agency approach
• Risks and Protective factors – challenging our unconscious bias
• Evidencing the voice of the child
