Description

Child Sexual Exploitation in the night time economy

FREE training for Burnley and Pendle night time economy workers.

2 sessions available: 9.30am to 12.45pm OR 1.15pm to 4.30pm

Child sexual exploitation is an appalling crime and as a local business owner or member of staff you can play a positive role in preventing it. As a night time economy worker you are well placed to identify children and young people who may be at their most vulnerable to being sexually exploited.

This training is intended to give you a foundation and background knowledge to raise awareness of vulnerability, exploitation and trafficking in the night time economy

Who is this training for?

This training is for any person who works within any night time economy environment in:

• Restaurants and takeaways

• Hotels/guest houses

• Pubs/bars and clubs

• Public transport (buses)

• Licensed shops

Why is this training important?

You have a vital role in identifying the signs that sexual exploitation may be taking place and by working together we can protect our children and young people.

The night time economy can present opportunities for sexual predators to take advantage of increased levels of vulnerability, caused through alcohol and other factors. The training equips those working within the night time economy with the necessary tools to identify vulnerability and sexual perpetrators and crucially, to act upon that identification to prevent and intervene at an earlier stage.

Everyone has a role to play to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance approach.

NOTE CAREFULLY THAT THIS COURSE IS FOR BURNLEY AND PENDLE WORKERS ONLY
