About this event

This 3-hour interactive online workshop explores the experience of bereavement for children and young people with special educational needs, including autism, and will help equip professionals with the understanding and confidence to appropriately support them.

Learning outcomes

To gain an understanding of how children and young people experience, understand and respond to bereavement at different developmental levels
To increase awareness of the additional challenges faced by bereaved children and young people with autism
To develop confidence in providing support to, and communicating with, bereaved children and young people with special educational needs and autism
To increase awareness of our own needs when supporting bereaved children and young people with special educational needs
To gain information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations and resources available

Who should attend?

All those whose work brings them into contact with grieving children and young people with special educational needs.

Due to the current climate with limited resources, we can only offer limited invoicing opportunities. Please enquire.

The webinar will take place via Zoom and will require each attendee to share their video and audio . You will need to ensure you have a strong internet connection
