Children as Researchers Training - Hyfforddiant Plant Fel Ymchwilwyr
Thu 22 June 2017, 09:30 – 16:00 BST
The Lleisiau Bach/Little Voices project is managed by the Wales Observatory on Human Rights of Children and Young People at Swansea University in partnership with Bangor University:http://www.swansea.ac.uk/law/wales-observatory/ . The current Big Lottery funded Little Voices Shouting Out project 2014 - 17 has delivered some 65 local child-led projects and a global first child-led report by under 11 year olds to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.
Lleisiau Bach/Little Voices supports children and young people to understand their human rights, to choose issues they want to research, to select research methods, carry out the research, to reach conclusions based on evidence and then to promote the changes they want to see with impact partners at the appropriate level of decision-making, from organisational level, to local and national government, public bodies and international bodies.
This is a full day's training in the Children as Researchers Method used by Lleisiau Bach/Little Voices to conduct participatory research projects all over Wales.
The day will include practical workshops and examples of how you can use the methods to train Children as Researchers and to run their own consultations.
