Join us for a Halloween Wicked Welly Walk along the new £192 million A556 dual carriageway which Highways England is constructing between Knutsford and Bowdon to replace the existing road.
The 6.5km route starts in Tabley and finishes at the site offices in Little Bollington. The walk promises to be a real family event with diggers and other heavy construction vehicles being available en route for exploring by children and adults alike!
This is a unique opportunity to see the progress of the project close up and fancy dress is optional!
It is a ticket only event and pre registration is required
Tickets are just £5 with children 4 and under going free (tickets are still required for under 4’s).
The surface will be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users.
Only guide and assistance dogs permitted.
Parking and registration is available at the Costain Site Offices, Lymm Rd, Little Bollington, WA14 4TP (spaces will be restricted so please car share if at all possible).
Registration is between 10am-11am. Coaches will be provided to shuttle walkers to the start point in Tabley .
Walkers will be released in small groups. The finish point will be back at the site offices in Little Bollington. We aim to have everyone back by 2pm!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available at the Costain Site Offices in Little Bollington. Post code for SAT NAV is WA14 4TP.
Coaches will be provided to shuttle walkers to the start point in Tabley. The walk will finish back at the site offices.

The walk is approximately 6.5km (4 miles)
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, we are unable to permit dogs on the Welly Walk.
Are bikes permitted?
Unfortunately we are unable to allow bikes.
What time should I arrive?
Please aim to arrive and register at the site offices between 10am and 11am. Coaches will be leaving as soon as they are full. It is anticipated that the last coach will leave the compound at 11am.
Will there be refreshments?
We will provide bottles of water and Halloween treats for children. Other refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.
