About this event

Has your child been inspired by Pottery Throw Down? Why not bring your child along and learn new skills together in our Pottery Studio.

Over two Saturday afternoons, take inspiration from the tree-themed exhibitions in the Harley Gallery to create a clay pinecone or acorn. Our expert tutor will guide you through hand-building and decorating processes, and you will finish the course with a completed piece.

Enjoy quality time with your child as you work together on your pinecone or acorn. If your child is confident working independently, you can make your own creation by purchasing additional clay during the session. Please note, that we only accept cash payments in our Pottery Studio.

We will fire your creations in our kiln and they will be ready to collect at a later date.

This course takes place over two Saturday afternoons: 18 May and 15 June. Please ensure you can attend both sessions before booking.

Please bring your own aprons.

£20 per child

A Parent or Guardian must stay with their child at all times.

The Harley Pottery Studio

The Harley Foundation is an arts charity which works to create spaces where the imagination can flourish, from artists studios to an award-winning museum.

We run The Harley Pottery Studio, a community space where visitors can work in inspiring surroundings – in an idyllic countryside location and surrounded by practicing artists and makers.

All of our classes are subsidised by the Foundation and generously supported by Nottinghamshire County Council. We work to offer an accessible, affordable place to practice pottery making.
