Join us for an afternoon outdoors at the Children's Forest helping us to tend the trees and plant some seeds for our tree nursery.

Our family friendly community sessions are a great way to help nature and the environment whilst experiencing the beautiful surroundings of the Children's Forest.

We'll enjoy a nature walk and learn about planting forests from seeds and about the flora and fauna in the local area.

This event is suitable for all ages although we recommend babies come in carriers rather than pushchairs due to uneven ground. We are a friendly group and there'll always be someone on hand to lend a helping hand with little ones or older people.

Please meet at the Canalside car park at 1.00 pm

Spending time amongst trees and plants has many health and wellbeing benefits.

Being amongst green leaves has a calming effect on our bodies and minds. Research has shown that time in nature reduces our blood pressure, lowers stress and boosts our immune system. The benefits are even more significant when we get involved in outdoor activities with others. You start to feel more confident, less socially isolated and simply happier!
