About this event

Join us for an afternoon outdoors at the beautiful Children's Forest, helping us to tend the trees and enjoy some nature connection activities.

Our family friendly community sessions are a great way to help nature and the environment whilst learning about the local flora and fauna.

After a leisurely nature walk to the forest we'll be doing some watering and mulching if the weather has been dry, plus we'll be weeding around the trees. There will also be nature-based activities for children and adults alike.

Organized by

Spending time amongst trees and plants has many health and wellbeing benefits.

Being amongst green leaves has a calming effect on our bodies and minds. Research has shown that time in nature reduces our blood pressure, lowers stress and boosts our immune system. The benefits are even more significant when we get involved in outdoor activities with others. You start to feel more confident, less socially isolated and simply happier!
