Childrens mental health: how to bring mindfulness into your curriculum

About this Event
During this course, you can expect to learn or refresh your knowledge on:
- Introduction to children's mental health
- Creating a safe environment for the children
- What teachers can do to support their children and their mental health
- Supporting the children to understand what it means to look after their mental health
- Exploring what is mindfulness and how to bring this within the classroom
During the session we will be joined by 2 guest speakers who will be sharing their specialist knowledge:
• Sara Stevens, who is a child author and works with a number of different schools to help children with anxiety. She has kindly shared some PDFs of her books to help you within the classroom discuss mental health and anxiety
• Jo Bradley, who explores mental and emotional wellbeing in schools. She will be showing you how to use mindfulness in the classroom.
