Event description

Description

The Everyone’s Children new evening training programme was launched in response to customer feedback. It aims to meet the needs of third sector staff and volunteers working with children and young people.

Children and young people have rights which are part of the UN Convention on The Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Children’s rights are also firmly embedded in the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.

This session is designed to help you consider how this can make a positive impact on outcomes for children and young people and the services which support them.

It is suitable for new staff and volunteers or as a refresher and update for more experienced staff.

The session will be led by Tam Baillie – a Scottish youth worker and policy manager who served as Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People between 2009–2017.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The Albany is conveniently situated for St George’s Cross Subway station and Charing Cross railway station. There is metered on-street parking outside the building. See the GCVS website for transport details here
