Children's Rights & Learner Participation

This collaborative offer of professional learning from Education Scotland Northern Team, Northern Alliance and Local Authority colleagues 21 is primarily aimed at newly qualified teachers within the Northern Alliance.

This session aims to:-

• Raise practitioner’s awareness and develop their knowledge/understanding of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)

• Introduce effective approaches to learner participation

• link rights-based practice to the Scottish legislation and policy context

• support individuals to begin to reflect on and self-evaluate their current practice in light of the UNCRC

Target Audience - Please be aware that the target audience for this event is for professionals within the Education Sector in Scotland and to register for the event you must enter either a Glow email address, school/local authority email address or a workplace email address.
