About this Event

We know that being a Social Worker is no ordinary job and we’re no ordinary Council.

As a Children’s Department, achieving good outcomes for children is at the heart of all we do. As an experienced Social Work Practitioner, you will work in one of our three operational services teams – Assessment Teams, Family Safeguarding teams and our Looked after Children and Care Leavers teams. You will be overseeing complex social work assessments and care planning arrangements for children in need / child protection / children looked after, and those subject to care proceedings.

We are inviting all Qualified Social Workers to come and find out what Luton Council has to offer. From, networking with other professionals to professional development sessions and the chance to meet our department leads.

About the event

During the event, we will be running a CPD session for Children’s Social Workers, focused on our Strengths-based Restorative Practice model, which is delivered through motivational interviewing and whole family working.

You will receive a certificate of attendance signed by the Corporate Director of Children, Families and Education. The CPD certificate can be used as evidence for your HCPC personal development.

Please bring a copy of your CV with you as there will be an opportunity to meet managers and discuss future job roles with us.
