Astro Space Camp for Kids 7-12 years old Featuring Live Q&As with NASA Astronauts

Over five exciting days, your child will experience action-packed, hands-on activities that blend learning and fun, making it the perfect adventure for your future astronaut!

What are the dates and times of the camp?

Astro Space Camp runs from Monday 27th to Friday 31st October 2025 09:00 -15:30.

Where is the camp held?

The camp takes place at New Hunt’s House, King’s College London, Guy’s Campus – just a short walk from London Bridge station and The Shard.

Who can attend?

The camp is for children aged 7–12 years old. Participants are grouped into small teams with children of a similar age to ensure a fun and supportive experience.

What will my child do during the week?

Each day is packed with exciting, hands-on space-themed activities. Topics include: Rocket building & launches Mars lander engineering challenges The history of rockets & space travel Designing space suits & habitats Simulated missions & teamwork tasks A chance to send a postcard to space

Will my child meet a real astronaut?

Yes! There will be live video Q&A sessions with NASA Astronauts Steve Swanson and Dorothy “Dottie” Metcalf-Lindenburger on Wednesday and Friday. Steve Swanson is a former ISS Commander and flew on 3 space missions. Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger is a NASA scientist-astronaut & educator

Can I choose which days my child attends?

Yes – we offer flexible booking. You can secure your place now and confirm which days your child will attend closer to the event.

Are there certificates?

Every participant receives a certificate signed by real astronauts to mark their achievement – a keepsake they’ll treasure!

Who runs the camp and are staff vetted?

The camp is delivered by ISSET (the International Space School Educational Trust), who have run space programmes globally for over 20 years. All staff are DBS-checked and trained to work with children.

What should my child bring each day?

Please pack a nut-free packed lunch, a water bottle, and any personal medical items your child may need. We recommend comfortable clothes for active indoor activities. There are also cafeterias on-site to utilise.

Do you provide lunch or snacks?

No – please send your child with a packed lunch and any snacks they may need. Please ensure all food is nut-free.

Will my child be supervised at all times?

Yes. Children are closely supervised throughout the day by our experienced and DBS-checked team. We prioritise safety, inclusion, and wellbeing.

Can parents stay on site?

The camp is designed to be a drop-off event. However, if you have specific concerns or needs, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to support.

What time is drop-off and pick-up

Drop-off is between 08:30–09:00, the camp starts at 09:00 and pick up is until 15:45 each day. Please get in touch with us info@isset.space if you have a specific pick-up request.
