CHILDREN’S TV – GET THE KNOWLEDGE!

2 Day Training Course With Mentoring

Supported by Children's TV Levy Fund (managed by Creative Skillset)

We are delighted to present this new course aimed at discovering how to make great programmes and short form involving Children.

It will be a fantastic practical workshop that delivers insight into the sector and it features the UK’s leading experts on working with children.

On arrival you will find yourself setting up a new production for Children’s TV. It’s Day One of a series that will feature children on screen, and the ‘production team’ must go through the process of coming up with ideas then investigating the practicalities of making those ideas work.

You will explore the correct licenses required for the show and assess risks – including imitative behaviour, working hours and Health and Safety. So you will have to think both creatively and logistically! As such, your ideas will be assessed and then put into ‘production’, adding learning to the workshop in the most direct and accessible way.

All this will take place under the watchful eye of highly experienced Children’s TV Executives.

The aim of this course is to encourage creativity and understanding in the production of media content for Children. We hope to excite you about creativity and opportunities in the sector, particularly outside London.

Set at introductory/refresher level, the course is designed to cover all the basics of creating and producing content for Children, from initial idea to recording. It will appeal to those who want to work in Children’s TV and those who may need a refresher on the basics. It will also be useful for people working in Children's TV but who want to learn more about key production skills and duties.
