At Divine Light Yoga, we believe that combining Children’s yoga with the arts can be extremely powerful for children and adults. Incorporating art, dance, music and movement with yoga, allows children to truly express their emotions, reflect on their experiences and process their world.
Our Yoga and the Arts Teacher Training provides all the tools, techniques and inspiration that teachers will need to develop their own individual, creative lessons to share with children and young people aged 3-18 years. We are focused on providing a holistic, nurturing and supportive environment in which children can feel confident and comfortable to explore and experiment with art.
Through interactive group discussions, active participation and practice teaching, we will explore:
Mandala art, dance and yoga flow
Traditional mandala art meditations
Dance and movement therapy
Incorporating musical instruments, chanting and kirtan for children and teens
Interactive music, movement and dance activities and games for all age-groups
Combining nature, art and yoga
Self-inquiry and self-expression through yoga and the arts
Our typical daily schedule will be as follows:
6.30am Morning yoga class (optional)
9.30-12.30pm Workshops, theory and practice
5.30-7pm Free-time or optional yoga class
7pm Dinner and free-time
