
China Tribunal Public Hearing
Description
An independent people's tribunal has been established to inquire into forced organ harvesting from, amongst others, prisoners of conscience in China. The Tribunal will investigate what criminal offences, if any, have been committed by state or state-approved bodies/ organisations in China that may have engaged in forced organ harvesting.
Sir Geoffrey Nice, who has extensive experience in international human rights law including at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, will chair the Tribunal of seven independent members. Mr Hamid Sabi will provide legal counsel, drawing on his expertise from the Iran Tribunal.

The first public hearings of the Tribunal are scheduled for December 2018, when it will hear evidence from up to 30 fact witnesses and experts over three days of hearings leading up to UN International Human Rights Day on December 10th, 2018.
You are welcome to join us for as many sittings as you are able, and only ask that you book yourself separately into each time slot, or book for the whole day. It is possible to leave early if you cannot stay for the entire sitting. Please note, timings may be subject to change.
