Frequently asked questions

Where are these events?

They are all inside The Arc Winchester Library ( Jewry Street SO23 8SB). Once you get into the building, the workshops are in Space 1 or 2, which are on the ground floor. The easiest way is to read the guidance inside or ask the reception.

How do I get there?

Car: Please use city centre car parks or park and ride services. Bus: There is a bus stop (Tb) directly outside the venue servicing many routes. Rail: We are a short, ten-minute walk from Winchester railway station. Cycling: There are bike racks situated outside the front

I don't know anything about Chinese Calligraphy. Can I attend and which workshop should I attend?

Of course you can! All of our three workshops are designed carefully so that all can enjoy. The first workshop will have more of the very basics which will be covered in the other two workshops. Each will have a different theme. If you want the full experience, go for all three!

Is it family friendly? Can my children go themselves?

Our workshops are great opportunities for family activity. However, all workshops will involve handling brush and ink. They are suitable for children aged 6 years old and above. A parent or legal guardian is needed for anyone under 16 years old.
