Learn how to make healthy Chinese jiaozi at home!

About this Event

Join Yuen Humble and learn how to make a Chinese cooking staple: dumplings! This healthy take on the classic uses turkey mince, and we'll go through boiling and frying methods.

We recommend prepaing the dough 1 hour in advance of the workshop if you'd like to cook along with Yuen. She will also demonstrate this method at the start of the workshop:

Mix 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour and 3/4 cup warm water. Add a bit of water into the flour at a time and mix, repeat multiple times, than combine the mixture in to a dough.

You'll need - Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Warm water
  • 1 large bunch of coriander (the biggest pack in the shop!)
  • 1 egg
  • 500g turkey mince
  • Light soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil

You'll need - Kitchen Equipment:

  • Boiling pan with a lid OR frying pan with a lid (if your frying pan doesn't have a lid, you can use baking paper)
  • Spatula
  • Small rolling pin
  • Spoon
  • Cutting knife
  • Chopping board
  • Dishes
