The Chinese Leadership Conference is aimed at postgraduate Chinese students studying at the University of Leeds. In today's increasingly global world, getting a degree abroad and having English skills will no longer be enough to set apart many Chinese students, so the objectives of CLC is twofold: to help them understand the realities of a competitive job market (in China and the UK) through managing expectations and to help them navigate that new landscape by developing relevant skills. The agenda includes an opening keynote address and three blocks of workshops: Bridging the Cross-Cultural Gap, Personal Skills, and Leadership & Professional Development.
