Celebrate #ChineseNewYear2021 with world dance company Movema in a family-friendly dance workshop, & learn some new dance moves as we welcome in the Year of the Ox.

FREE to attend & suitable for all ages & abilities! Delivered via Zoom on Saturday 13th February 10.30-11.30am. Let's get moving & celebrating Chinese dance and culture!

To join, you will need to:

1. Register for a free ticket for your household through Eventbrite. Zoom links will then be sent to you prior to the session via the email you registered with.

2. Create or have a pre-existing Zoom account to log into on the day of the session.

3. Have a clear space to move in from home.

4. Bring along some water & smiles to the session!

But that's not all...Movema will also be back a little later in the day with a special LIVE performance featuring The Chinese mythical bird - Phoenix (凤凰Fènghuáng)

Fenghuang is a bird that symbolises the harmonies of Ying and Yang. Fenghuang's presence is believed to represent peace and prosperity. This 15-20mins live performance will depict the journey of FengHuang to Liverpool, followed by 10mins of question and answer with our audience! This peformance is a story about migration, a journey of uncertainty to a place that is a new home, creating conflicts of identity & raising questions to all.
