We meet at the Courtyard Café off Castle Street where you can enjoy a tea, coffee and snacks before the off.
Our Mini Bus will transport us to the dramatic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site) where we start our trek by walking over the Aqueduct 127 ft above the River Dee then along the canal towpath to the small historic town of Chirk.
We visit Chirk Aqueduct (part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site) in the beautiful Ceiriog Valley, and follow a section of Offa's Dyke where it enters Chirk Castle (NT) grounds. We'll walk through the grounds with views of the castle, then head off along part of the ancient Pilgrims Way to Llangollen, finishing with BIG views over the Dee Valley.
The walk ends at the Canal Wharf Café between 4.00 and 4.30pm.
Ticket price includes coach travel to our start point.
