Chisenhale Summer of Art - Gardens of Hope (afternoon)
Date and time
Painting and collage workshop with artist Joy Girvin
About this event
Do you remember what gave you hope during the pandemic lockdowns? Express it in this paper collage and watercolour painting workshop!
We’ll add all these pieces of hope into one big ‘zig zag’ artist book to leave for this special space, and everyone can make their own individual version to take home.
(Zig Zag books are like sketchbooks that fold out in one continuous piece rather than separate pages to be turned).
Everyone is welcome at the Chisenhale Summer of Art, though activities are primarily aimed at children aged 3 - 13 years old to do with an adult. Parent, carer, favourite auntie or grandparent perhaps, it's up to you! All events take place outdoors in the temporary Learn+Play+Create space in Chisenhale Road. Fear not, if the weather isn't co-operating with rain or meltingly hot sunshine, we'll pop up a few gazebos for cover. But do come prepared to be out of doors. The space is all ground level and fully accessible.
