FAQs

Is it suitable for children?

Children must be accompanied by an adult, although the adult doesn't have to take part. Maximum of 2 children per adult, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Children or adults under 1.2m may struggle to reach some of the machines. Please let us know if this is the case and we will try to make adjustments for you.

What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?

Please walk, cycle or use public transport to get to use if you can. We are just next to the Newtonmore train station, although the trains are infrequent. Newtonmore also gets served by buses. If you really must drive, there is parking outside of the kitchen.

What should I bring?

A sense of fun and the willingness to get messy. Clothes that you are happy to potentially get chocolatey. We supply aprons, but chocolate can get messy. It comes off easily in the wash.

Chocolate likes cool temperatures, so our kitchen is kept between 14 and 18°C. Please wear something you'll be comfortable in at those temperatures.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Please email us at Hello@AlbaChocolate.co.uk or phone 01540 673 847.

What's the refund policy?

You can cancel up to two weeks before the workshop for a 50% refund. All cancellations must be in writing.

Will the course definitely run?

We need a minimum of two bookings for the workshop to run. We'll give you a week's notice if we have to cancel the workshop, and you'll receive a full refund or a place on an alternative date.

I have food allergies. Can I still take part?

Yes, but we will need to know in advance so we can adjust the workshop accordingly. Please email us at Hello@AlbaChocolate.co.uk or phone 01540 673 847.
