Our host for the evening will again be Dave Guest, Chief Reporter for BBC NW Television who will also facilitate the ‘Question Time’ panel with the Council Leader, MP and key industry players. Hilary Devey CBE is the inspirational Founder, CEO and Chairman of The Pall-Ex Group, the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network. An outstanding role model for entrepreneurs, she has driven her company from nothing to an international market-leading company which boasts an annual turnover of more than £100million. Both Hilary and her company have achieved an impressive array of firsts within the logistics sector. They are innovators, not followers, as evidenced by multiple industry awards. Her TV career started with The Secret Millionaire and The Business Inspector but she is perhaps best known for her role on the panel of the BBC 2 programme Dragon’s Den which she appeared from 2011 to 2012.
Our host for the evening is again Dave Guest Chief Reporter for BBC North West Television. Dave has been chief reporter at North West Tonight since 2006, having previously covered education and social affairs. In 2014 he received the Judges’ Award for outstanding contribution at the BBC's Ruby Awards for regional television.
In the same year he was nominated for the award for Best Regional News Journalist by the Royal Television Society
Dave will also host a ‘Question Time’ type discussion with a panel including The Rt Hon Lindsay Hoyle MP, The Leader of Chorley Council - Cllr Alistair Bradley, and industry representatives.
