"Choose your own Adventure" Book Coding Course with Twine @ Urmston Library

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 3-part course, with dates running on Wednesday 23rd July (1.30pm - 3pm), Wednesday 30th July (1.30pm - 3pm) and Wednesday 6th August (1.30pm - 3pm) at Urmston Library. Your ticket will provide access to all three sessions.

Make your own adventure using Twine!

Do you enjoy Choose Your Own Adventure books like Fighting Fantasy, Usbourne Adventure books, Romeo and/Or Juliet, You Are A Cat?, or interactive romances like My Lady’s Choosing? Do you use online interactive fiction on your computer or phone? Fancy writing your own?

We are running a short course to design online versions of these interactive stories using a simple programming language called Twine.

If you are aged between 11-16, have a little knowledge of HTML and CSS from school (you will need this to get going with Twine) and have three free afternoons during the summer holidays (the sessions should be around 90 minutes) get in touch. We will be starting with the basics and then looking at some of the extra features that you can incorporate, and then publishing the stories and adventures to share with your friends.
