Event description
Join Theatrum Mundi Fellow Adesola Akinleye for a day of sharing including a warm-up, discussion & movement exploration!

About this Event

As part of her Theatrum Mundi Research Fellowship, choreographer and dance scholar Adesola Akinleye will be presenting a workshop and sharing of her research. Her project Choreographing the City: at the city limits is looking for the emerging vocabulary that connects ideas within dance-making and building/city-making, through interviews and collaborations with engineers and architects.

Ideas from this research are being explored in movement on this day of sharing, that invites engineers, architects, dance-artists, choreographers and anyone interested to take part in and feed back on the movement research. The session will take place at the Reynolds room, John Madejski Fine Rooms, Burlington House, Royal Academy of Arts, between 11:00-13:00. It will consist of a warm-up; discussion and movement exploration and sharing of some the work we have been doing so far - including films Adesola has produced during this research.

This workshop is free on registration with a limited number of places so register for your place asap! Bring comfortable clothes that you can move in.
