Jump aboard Chorley’s Santa Express land train on Union Street, Chorley town centre and take a magical journey through Astley Park to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Every child who meets Father Christmas will receive a special Christmas gift and there will be festive face painting and arts and crafts in Astley farmhouse too!
Chorley’s Santa Express tickets must be purchased in advance at £7 for children (aged 12 and under) and £3 for adults. All tickets are subject to an Eventbrite booking fee and the price includes a return journey on the land train and the chance to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall. Please bring a paper or electronic copy of your confirmation email with you as proof of purchase.
If you are catching the land train from Chorley town centre to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall, please allow up to 30 minutes to catch the land train before you meet Father Christmas within your booked time slot. The first train will depart from Union Street at 9.30am and the last train will depart from Astley Hall at 4.00pm. The train will be running continually throughout the day to ensure everyone gets the chance to take a ride to meet Father Christmas at Astley Hall.
The land train is fully accessible for wheelchair users but if you have a pram, please could you ensure you fold it up before boarding the train.
You can arrive at Astley Hall at any time within your booked time slot but please arrive at Astley Hall at least 10 minutes before the time slot is due to end. Please be aware there may be a short wait to meet Father Christmas once you arrive at Astley Hall.
The Christmas presents are only suitable for children aged 1 to 12. All children under 12 months will be permitted entry free of charge but will not receive a present. If you have a child under 12 months, please still book them a ticket as indicated.
To simply take a ride on Chorley’s Santa Express between Chorley town centre and Astley Hall, you can pay on the day at the land train stop on Union Street or Astley Hall at £3 for children and £3 for adults.
