About this event

Arts • Other

As part of Aspex Portsmouth's Autumn COMMUNAL Programme, Eddie Stenström and Thaïs Verhasselt are hosting a free event blending photography, storytelling, and maps making to explore care, chosen family, bus-stop confessions, and everyday kinship. Together, we’ll create a living archive of the city for its centenary in 2026, rooted in shared journeys and the places we go to feel seen.

The artists will lead two bookable Visual & Verbal Exploration Sessions (11am to 12.45pm & 2pm to 3.45pm), these sessions offer guided conversations and creative prompts to inspire your contributions during the creative activities.

Throughout the day, you can expect Portraits + Objects, Bus Stop Stories & Confession Maps, and Mini-Zine Studio stations. Your contributions will help shape a printed and digital zine, plus a community display at Aspex.

We invite participants to attend with their kin - whether family by birth or by choice - and to bring along meaningful belongings or objects that can spark stories and conversations.

Places are limited and booking is essential. This session is recommended for ages 13 and above.
