Christ Church Tour
Meet your qualified green (or blue) badge guide outside Christ Church memorial gardens on St Aldates. Each of our guides has undergone an intensive training course and are members of The Institute of Tourist Guiding. We will visit inside Christ Church* (unlike most other tours who simply view from the outside). Christ Church has a deep and interesting history and is probably our most famous college, not least because of its connections with the Harry Potter films and its iconic dining hall.
From here we meander through cobbled streets and quaint alleyways to the heart of Oxford University and pass such sights as University Church, Radcliffe Camera, Old Schools Quadrangle and The Bridge of Sighs. During the two hour tour, your guide will explain the history of Oxford from its humble beginnings to the world class university which we know today. The tour will finish on or around Broad Street where recommendations will be made for lunch, shopping, further sightseeing and additional colleges you may like to visit.
