Christian Aid are launching this year's ambassador scheme with a training and development day. There will be sessions on international development, fundraising, biblical understanding of justice and how to use your skills to make a difference. We are also incredibly lucky to have one of our partners, Victor Mughogho, from Malawi coming to share his experience of working with the local church to assist those who have been affected by climate change. Come along to be inspired, develop your skills and learn more about the scheme.
More about the ambassador scheme:
You are invited to join a movement of young people, aged 16-25, from across the East Midlands who want to see God’s Kingdom coming, ending poverty and bringing justice to some of the world’s poorest countries. As one of our ambassadors you will have the opportunity to effectively campaign, fundraise and raise awareness in order to truly love and make a difference to our global neighbours.
In a nutshell, the nine month programme will kick off with this launch event in October. Following the launch, you will become a leader in your community for Christian Aid. We will give you every resource you need to inspire your friends and tools to creatively campaign against injustice. All the way through you’ll be supported by your local Christian Aid team who’ll be able to offer any help you’ll need. This is an entirely flexible programme geared where we ask you to commit a couple of hours a month that fit easily around your school and university commitments.
