Residential Retreat with Christine Perkin

8th - 10th November 2018

Living all out for God without burning out

Can we live all out for God without it leading to burnout? Is there such a thing as sustainable passion? The thing is - we want to be equipped to serve God with all the energy and enthusiasm that we can muster, but in a way that can be sustained over a whole life-time. We’re in it for the marathon, not just the 500 metre sprint!

So, how do we run this marathon well? How do we make the most of each different stage of our lives? How do we keep going full on for Jesus right to the end? How do we go for it with all we’ve got without burning ourselves out in the process? Come and explore these issues together over these two days.’

The main sessions will seek to explore:

1. Know Yourself – growing in self-awareness

2. Guard Yourself – recognising the warning signs

3. Grow Yourself – resolving to make changes

Christine is an associate pastor and leads alongside her husband, Paul, at St Marks
Battersea in London - one of the first church plants from Holy Trinity Brompton. She
has loved being part of growing a church in a local community over the past thirty
years. They have three married children and two wonderful grandchildren who are
a complete distraction and delight!

Christine is involved in a number of different areas of church life – preaching
regularly, training young leaders, co-ordinating church weekends, organising Night
Pastor teams and leading Family Life courses - and also loves speaking at women’s
events around the country.

She loves walking, swimming in the sea, drinking good coffee and shopping! A
recent challenge was to take 25 members of their church to visit their church link in
Kenya and then to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Loved the first and still wondering why
on earth she agreed to the second!

The cost of £258 includes full board, en suite rooms and vat.
