About this event

Get ready to unwrap the ultimate holiday treat with our Christmas Movies Concert! Join us as we embark on a jolly journey through the heart-warming and hilarious worlds of beloved Christmas films. It's a festive celebration that will fill your spirit with joy and bring back memories of cosy nights by the fire.

Come on our cinematic sleigh ride with the timeless classic "White Christmas," where we will transport you to a snow-covered wonderland before diving into the heart-warming ensemble tale of "Love Actually," where love, laughter, and a stellar soundtrack intertwine.

Of course, no Christmas Movies Concert would be complete without the mischievous antics of Kevin McCallister in "Home Alone." Brace yourself for the delightful mischief and the iconic musical score that accompanies Kevin's hilarious battles against the bumbling burglars.

But wait, there's more! We've prepared a medley of holiday hits from other cherished films like "Elf," "The Polar Express," and "It's a Wonderful Life." Experience the magic of Santa's workshop, embark on a train ride to the North Pole, and rediscover the true meaning of Christmas through the eyes of George Bailey.

So, gather your loved ones, don your favourite festive sweater, and get ready for an unforgettable night of music, laughter, and holiday cheer. Our Christmas Movies Concert is a joyful celebration of cinema and the spirit of the season that will leave you with a heart full of warmth and a smile as bright as Rudolph's nose. Merry melodies and a very merry Christmas to all!

Frequently asked questions

What time do doors open?

Doors open 45 minutes before the start of the show. The seating in each price band is unreserved, so it's worth coming early.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Nearly all of our venues are wheelchair accessible and we can cater to any specific requirements you may have. We endeavour to accommodate everyone at our concerts, so if you have any requests, please do email us at: tickets@candlelightconcerts.co.uk

Can I sit with my friends?

All our seating is unreserved in each price band, so the earlier you arrive, the better the seats you'll be able to get. If you're in a larger group, we strongly recommend you arrive early to ensure that you can all sit together.

Is there a bar?

We have a fully licensed bar which will be open from when doors open. Come and enjoy a wonderful selection of Wines, Soft Drinks and Snacks and take in the ambience of the beautiful setting.

Can I take photos or videos during the performance?

Yes! We welcome any photos or videos during appropriate moments in the concert and we would love to see them on social media after the show. But please be respectful of those around you and do make sure your flash is turned off before you start filming!

What happens if I am late?

Latecomers will be allowed to come in and wait by the entrance until a suitable moment in the performance (usually at the end of piece) and can then find a seat. You may not be able to sit in your seating band until a longer break in the performance so as not to disrupt the performance.

Are there any age restrictions for our performances?

No, not at all! Anyone can attend our concerts and we encourage children to come along! Our performances are a fantastic way to begin a journey into classical music.

Can I get a refund if I can't make it?

Unfortunately, we don't offer refunds, but we will always offer you the option to exchange your tickets to one of our other events, either in the same venue or any other venue in the season! We want you to come and enjoy our exceptional candlelight concerts!

What should I wear?

We don’t have a specific dress code. We would like our audience to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible to enjoy the performance. Also, some cathedrals don't have the most comfortable of seats! Please feel free to bring a cushion along to sit on for comfort.
