Event description
Christmas by Candlelight at the College. A night of festive music and cheer.

About this event

Join us for a very special evening of festive music and cheer.

We are delighted to announce that Christmas by Candlelight at the College is back after an unforeseen interlude!

This year the event is raising funds for the restoration of the Grade II listed Conservatory, which forms part of the impressive Elizabethan House. The Conservatory, which is currently out of use, will become a multi-use space for the College in addition to being an asset for Slindon House events.

The evening will include a bubbles and canapes reception in the drawing rooms with background music from harpist, Heather Wrighton, followed by an intimate performance from Rachael Hawnt (BBC 1 All Together Now finalist) accompanied by Ashley Cutler on our very own grand piano in the Main Hall.

Ticket Price £27.50 ~ Occasion Wear ~ Cash Bar ~ Raffle ~ On Site Parking.

Tickets are limited due to consideration of capacity in light of COVID-19. To allow for social distancing the configuration of the evening will be different to past Christmas by Candlelight events.

Please note this event will follow prevailing government guidance regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organiser Slindon College

Organiser of Christmas by Candlelight

Slindon College is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 8-18, set in the historic Slindon House, located in the South Downs National Park

The College provides outstanding transformative education and pastoral care for boys who thrive in a specialist learning environment. The impact of our stimulating surroundings provides a meaningful setting for a broad and balanced educational experience.

We hold a variety of in-house and public events throughout the year most notably at Christmas time. The majority of these events are to raise funds for school improvements and developments.
