About this Event

The event will run from 3.00 - 4.15pm.

This online festive singing event will be streamed live from The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh. Sing along from the comfort of your own homes or community spaces, with a mix of Christmas favourites and well-loved Scottish songs.

Christmas Caledonia is for anyone who enjoys singing. It will be a relaxed, dementia inclusive event. It will feature a live band and experienced song leaders from the Network, led by Stephen Deazley. As well as singing, the event will feature set design by The Dolphin Arts Project, and a new filmpoem which has been made especially for this occasion by poet Ron Coleman, who is well-known as the Demented Poet.

Join from home on your own, or invite family and friends to join you. And if you’re part of a choir or singing group, why not invite them to join too? You can read more about what to expect on the day and how to join the event once you book your place here: https://singing.luminatescotland.org/guide/christmas-caledonia/.

Come and Sing is part of a programme of events run by Luminate's Dementia Inclusive Singing Network, which aims to widen singing opportunities for people living with dementia across Scotland.

Who is the event for?

Community choirs, singing groups, people living with dementia, carers for people living with dementia, health and social care staff, and anyone who loves to sing or has an interest in dementia inclusive practice!
